Tackling of Piracy in the African Summit

According to AllAfrica, the president of the federal republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who addressed the African summit in Ethiopia said tackling of piracy and illegal fishing should be an African problem but not seen as a Somali problem. He said all African countries should unite to tackle this problem and should not be isolated to Somalia only.
In his lecture, he said that the pirates who use Somali waters have extended the piracy mission to nearby African countries and if not tackled, they will spread in many African coastlines.
Mr. Hassan Sheikh said that piracy can be prevented if all African countries unite to fight piracy and African navy patrol their coastline to stop pirates hiding in their coastline.
Somali pirates have reduced significantly after severe patrol of foreign navies along the Somali coastline. This has become the only solution to tackle the pirates in the region.
